How we are dealing with the COVID19 Virus pandemic at Frog Mountain:
We are absolutely aware of the crisis and are closely monitoring the situation. Safety of staff, and guests are our top priority. We take our cue from the government authorities and feel, given that we are a weekend getaway for small families, we can at this stage, aim to remain open to avoid cancelling people’s long awaited nature breaks.
All our staff are aware, vigilant and informed.
We are putting every measure in place to mitigate the issue, extra cleaning, sterilizing and disinfection of the guest houses is underway.
We are a small business, very isolated and feel pretty sure we have a low risk situation here as we ourselves and our staff are isolated.
We cater mainly to South African families and therefore feel the risk is lower, as we rarely have travelers/foreigners at the farm.
Anyone entering the farm from now on must have been, screened and quarantined for at least 2 weeks (if having travelled). Anyone having had contact with a traveler should inform us so we can assess the risk together.
On the positive side, here one is in remote and pristine nature, you do not have to have any contact with any other human, and there are no known cases thus far in Swellendam. (It's a kind of nature self-quarantine in itself just being here).
We feel strongly that if we can continue to offer safe refuge here we are hesitant to cancel plans and holidays. If we can continue to remain open we will.
Cast your eyes on some snapshots of our magnificent farm, set within the spectacular scenery of the Langeberg range. Frog Mountain is home to unspoilt indiginous flora and fauna. It is uniquely nestled in a valley on the Bufflejags River, and is home to us and our animal family. A true nature lover's paradise ready to be explored.
